Welcome to the NHS South East London Virtual Education Event: PCOS!
Join us on Tuesday 13th May 2025 at 18:30 - 19:45 to learn all about how PCOS with our expert speakers Mr Haitham Hamoda and Miss Anna Graham. Whether you're currently experiencing PCOS or want to learn more about it, this session is for you! The session will be facilitated by our primary care lead, Dr Ritu Agarwal. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions at this informative and supportive event.
· PCOS is a common hormonal disorder in women of reproductive age that can cause:
o Irregular periods
o Excess androgens (hormones) leading to acne and increased hair growth
o Fertility challenges
o Longer term health risks such as insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes, obesity and heart problems
· Management includes lifestyle changes, medication and fertility treatments
