Thamesmead Tree Tour & Urban Forest Strategy Workshop

Join Trees for Cities and Land Use Consultants for a free tree tour in Thamesmead, in and around the Tump 53 Nature Reserve on Saturday 25th October 11am-1pm.

We will then invite participants to take part in shaping the Thamesmead Urban Forest Strategy and join us for a community workshop to develop an action plan for how Peabody will manage Thamesmead's trees.

All are welcome, no previous tree knowledge is expected!

The tour will take place on Saturday 25th October, and will start at 11am and finish at 1pm, at the Tump 53 Nature Reserve. During the tree tour we will identify the local trees together, both in park spaces and on the street, and talk about their relationship to the local environment of Thamesmead.

After the short tour (around 30-45 minutes), we will return to Tump 53 and hold a community workshop to develop an action plan through discussion and creative activities. It will be over to you as the residents of Thamesmead to share your ideas on how you'd like to engage more with Thamesmead's trees and how they can provide for everyone.
