What is this service?
People with learning disabilities are more likely to have sight problems but are often not receiving regular, routine eye care. Easy Eye Care was commissioned to give people a choice of local accredited opticians to visit. People can go along in advance for a familiarisation visit and support is provided to help people get used to new glasses. You don't have to be able to read or speak to have an eye test!
The charity SeeAbility has Eye Care Champions with lived experience who are telling people about this service. They can deliver presentations in person or on-line.
