What is this activity?

Why is BSL so important?

Imagine a place where everyone speaks the same language, and you're the only one that doesn't.

This is the struggle of a deaf person lost in a sea of voices that they cannot hear. BSL is the bridge that allows the profoundly deaf to communicate with the hearing, and each other.

Learning it gives voice to the voiceless and contributes to greater equality for deaf and hard of hearing people.

We offer Signature BSL Qualification level 1, 2 and 3 as well as Sign Tasters and Introduction to BSL courses. All of our teachers have BSL as their first language.

Sign Taster- This a a 2 hour session where you will learn basic sign language/deaf awareness and more!

Introduction to BSL- 5 week course learning basic BSL, deaf history/culture and more!

BSL Level 1-This beginner-friendly course is perfect for anyone eager to start their journey into British Sign Language (BSL). This is 90 hours teaching hours.

BSL Level 2-The BSL Level 2 course is designed for learners who already have a foundational grasp of British Sign Language. This is 150 hours teaching hours.

BSL Level 3-This course is designed to prepare learners to communicate confidently in British Sign Language at Level 3. This is 250 teaching hours.
