What is this service?
True well-being encompasses not just the absence of illness, but a state of optimal physical, mental, and social health. Join our team of Well-being Volunteers and help transform the lives of residents in Bexley.
Community Connect is a Social Prescribing service that uses a community approach to improve the health and well-being of Bexley residents over the age of 18. If you are interested in promoting health and well-being, have good listening skills and want to develop your own skills, then this could be the perfect role for you!
One of the ways that we support clients is through our Telephone Well-being Service, run by our amazing team of volunteers. They are matched with clients to offer more in-depth support, build up their confidence, and work with them to gain access to appropriate services that can help in the long term.
As a Well-being Volunteer, you will:
• Be matched with a Community Connect client
• Maintain regular contact with your Match via telephone
• Encourage a positive attitude towards health and well-being
• Help to reduce loneliness and isolation
• Help them gain access to the right services provided in Bexley
