What is this service?

The Early Intervention project supports residents of London borough of Bexley experiencing mental ill-health and focuses on creative interventions at the earliest stage.

Support is provided for those at work or searching for paid employment. We can also help you access education, training, & volunteering opportunities. Intervention in the initial stages of a person’s mental ill-health can have significant and life-changing consequences.

Getting help as soon as you need it, is critical to help prevent & reduce the progress of mental illness as well as minimising the negative impact it can have on your day-to-day life. We can offer you 1-2-1 tailored support based on your needs and requests; We work in partnership with the job centre and we can make referalls on your behalf to other local support services; Job retention for people already in employment who would like advice and/or support to stay in employment.

We can also provide mediation with your employer on request; Help and guidance to find the right job for you; Supported volunteering opportunities as a stepping stone towards paid work or as a destination; Training opportunities such as interview techniques, IT skills, debt management, food hygiene and many more.
