The image is a logo for Bexley Moorings Project. The text is arranged in three lines: The top line says “BEXLEY” in uppercase letters, colored dark blue. The middle line says “MOORINGS” in large uppercase letters, colored orange-red. The bottom line says “PROJECT” in uppercase letters, also in dark blue. The letter “M” in “MOORINGS” is stylized: it looks like two simple human figures standing side by side, each represented by a vertical line with a round head on top. Their arms form the central part of the “M,” symbolizing connection or support.

What is this service?

EPEC (Empowering People Empowering Communities) Being a Parent Course and Parent Group Leader Course for parents and carers of children aged 2-11 years

Empowering Parents Empowering Communities is a programme delivered by parents for parents.

An NHS funded programme which Bexley Moorings are delivering in partnership with the Bexley Council, we are recruiting parents and carers across the Bexley borough who would like the exciting opportunity to learn how to deliver a new parenting programme to other parents within the local community.

Upon completion of the initial ‘being a parent’ course, parents are able to volunteer for posts as parent group leaders. Parent group leaders will receive comprehensive training as well as ongoing supervision and support.

Parent group leaders will deliver training to small groups of parents of children aged 2-11 years old to help them become more confident parents.
