Our tool allows you to carry out a thorough check of your home in only a few minutes. It’s simple and practical – giving you specific advice for your family and your home

How it works

• We’ll ask you a series of questions that will help us work out the level of risk in your home, or the home of someone you care for.

• You can skip questions if you don’t want to answer them, or don’t know the answer - but this could make our advice less accurate. We’re not collecting any personal data that can identify you.

• We'll make a recommendation depending on your answers - that might be booking an in-person Home Fire Safety Visit, or carrying out an assessment of the home yourself.

• If we recommend you book an in-person Home Fire Safety Visit, we'll explain how to do that. If you choose to do that we'll collect some personal data.

• If we recommend you carry out an assessment of the home yourself we'll then ask you to visit each room in the home, and look out for particular risks.

• After you’ve assessed each room in the home, we’ll give you steps to take based on the information you’ve provided.
