We are not an Advocacy Service
We do not Accept referrals from Professionals directly
•We do not Case load
•We do not Form fill for letter write for professionals or families
•Contact professionals without prior consent from Parent Carer or Young Person
•Attend meetings as parent advocate
Give advice or recommendations regarding school choices
We provide free confidential and impartial information, advice and support about special educational needs & disabilities (SEND) for children, young people, parents and carers. (impartial means: 'not favouring one person or group more than another; fair; unbiased')
Bexley IASS is a statutory service which provides unbiased information and advice about SEND Law, SEND Guidance and policy & practice in the local area. As an impartial and unbiased service Bexley IASS can provide you with advice and information on process and policy however, we are not an Advocacy service and therefore do not provide advocacy for parent carers by way of attending meetings or form filling.
