About our service
NextWave Creative CIC gives young people aged 11–25 the opportunity to explore creative media and technology through practical, hands-on workshops across Bexley and surrounding communities.
Our sessions are practical and hands-on, giving young people the chance to try things out, learn new skills and work on creative projects. Young people can explore different areas of the creative industries, learn how equipment and technology are used, and develop skills through practical activities.
What we offer
Our workshops can include:
The activities we offer will vary depending on the programme, venue and interests of the young people taking part.
Who is it for?
Our workshops are aimed at young people aged 11–25. Some activities may have a specific age range, which will be made clear when they are advertised.
No previous experience is needed, and young people do not need to own their own equipment. We provide the equipment needed for the activities.
Learning by doing
We believe young people learn best when they have the opportunity to get involved and have a go.
Our workshops encourage participants to experiment, ask questions, work with others and develop their skills through real creative projects. Sessions can involve working independently or as part of a team, using professional and industry-standard equipment.
Exploring creative opportunities
We want young people to see where their creativity and skills could take them.
As they develop, we can help them discover different areas of the creative and digital industries and explore opportunities for further learning, creative projects, volunteering, work experience and progression.
A welcoming space
Our activities are designed to be welcoming and inclusive, with opportunities for young people with different interests, experiences and abilities to take part.
If a young person has specific access or support needs, please contact us before attending so we can discuss how we can support them.
