You are eligible for a visit by the Heat Doctors if:

  • You are responsible for your own boiler and,

  • You are a lower-income household vulnerable to the specific challenges of heating a home to safe levels in the current energy crisis.

SELCE can issue fuel vouchers from the Fuel Bank foundation:

  • These are for people in severe financial need, i.e. choosing between heating and eating.

  • You must have a card/key that is topped up at a shop. Clients who pay their energy bills via direct debit are not eligible for fuel vouchers.

  • Clients can receive up to 3 fuel vouchers in 6 months.

Outreach

Selce also has a strong outreach service and tries to be present in the community as much as possible. As part of their outreach, they deliver:

  • Workshops: These are talks delivered by Selce to community organisations and groups. These talks can be on energy saving methods, retrofit, and more. There are also several energy saving activities involved in the workshops

  • Pop-up Stalls: Selce can have a stall during your community event or in your community building generally where people can get energy advice
