At Counselling Matters Bexley, we believe that mental and physical health go hand-in-hand. Our low-cost yoga sessions are designed to be more than just an exercise class; they are a weekly opportunity to hit the pause button, breathe, and reconnect with yourself in a supportive environment.
Our sessions are lead by Marie Roast and focus on gentle, mindful movement. You don’t need to be flexible or have any prior experience.
A Slow Pace: We focus on foundational poses that build strength and mobility without pressure.
Stress Relief: Each class incorporates breathing techniques designed to calm the nervous system.
Mindful Relaxation: We always end with a quiet period of relaxation (Savasana) to help you leave feeling refreshed and balanced.
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible. You don't need "pro" gear to join us!
Clothing: Wear stretchy, comfortable clothes (leggings, joggers, or a t-shirt).
Layers: We recommend bringing a hoodie or warm socks for the relaxation at the end of class.
Footwear: Yoga is usually done barefoot, but you are welcome to wear grip socks if you prefer.
Equipment: Please bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water.
We are located at St. John Vianney RC Church Hall, 21 Heathfield Road, DA6 8NP.
🅿️ Free Parking: There is a private car park directly in front of the hall, free for all attendees.
🚌 By Bus: We are a 5-minute walk from the Bexleyheath Broadway/Clock Tower stops.
🚆 By Train: We are approximately a 15-minute walk from Bexleyheath Station.
Health & Safety: If it is your first time, please arrive 10 minutes early to introduce yourself to Marie and discuss any injuries or health concerns.
Arrival: Doors open shortly before 7:15pm. Arriving a few minutes early helps you settle onto your mat in peace.
Cost: Only £5 per session, making wellbeing affordable for the whole community.
Free for unpaid carers.
Ready to book your mat? Space is limited so please contact Marie Roast at [email protected] to register your interest or ask any questions. We look forward to seeing you on the mat!
