What is this service?

Are you an adult over 18 caring for someone living in Bexley who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction could not cope without your support? If you are supporting a person in a caring role you are entitled to a carer’s assessment. This will give you an opportunity to discuss what information or support you may need to continue in your caring role. The assessment will look at how caring affects your life, including for example, your physical, mental and emotional needs, and whether you are able or willing to carry on caring. It will also explore the support you may be receiving from any extended family.  Once we have undertaken an assessment of your needs and the person you are supporting we will look at the best solutions to ensure the right advice, information and support is fully explained to you.
