A weekly group, supporting up to 15 young people within the borough, to build on social skills and confidence, to become more resilient and improve their social inclusion.
Each group runs for 12 weeks and is led by qualified staff and experienced volunteers who bring innovative ideas and skills to deliver a tailored, effective programme which will have both structured and unstructured activities.
Young people will set individual and group goals to work towards with the aim of improving skills and confidence so that they feel able to go on to join and participate in activities at universal groups. Past participants have gone on to after school clubs, Scouts, football clubs and St John Ambulance training.
"The people were really friendly, easy to talk to and happy to help. I felt comfortable to talk about what I wanted to talk about and there was a lot"
