Time to talk

What is this service?

Welcome to our SEND youth forum, Time 2 Talk!

The forum is a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for young people aged 12 – 25 years who live in the London Borough of Bexley who have Special Education needs and/or disabilities.

Time 2 Talk was created to give young people with SEND a platform to share their voices and express what truly matters to them is such an important initiative. When young people have a say in decisions that affect their lives, it not only empowers them but also leads to more inclusive and meaningful changes.

The SEND forum Time 2 Talk in Bexley will have a meaningful impact on young people's lives by ensuring their voices are heard and acted upon. It will help shape local policies and services by embedding co-production, meaning young people with SEND and their families are actively involved in decision-making.

Through the forum, young people will be able to express their needs and aspirations, leading to improvements in early identification and intervention, better access to support, and more inclusive opportunities.

The forum will also contribute to the SEND Priority Action Plan, which focuses on timely assessments, quality education, and preparing young people for adulthood.

Here you can connect with peers, share experiences, ask questions, find support and shape change.
