Bexley Deaf Centre have been delivering Deaf Awareness training for over 25 years and our sessions are aimed at breaking down these barriers, to equip people with the knowledge and skills to communicate confidently with a Deaf or Hard of Hearing person.
If you’re looking to support your Deaf or Hard of Hearing workforce, looking to employ a Deaf or Hard of Hearing person or just want to provide valuable CPD for your workforce, then please get in touch.
Have you attended our Deaf Awareness training before and feel like you need a refresher session? Please get in touch as we continually update our sessions to ensure they include up to date legislation and are relevant to today’s needs.
Our fun, interactive sessions are aimed at promoting equality and diversity and help to provide an inclusive environment for all. They are delivered by a member of the local deaf community and a BSL qualified presenter.

Basic British Sign Language, syntax & grammar

We off free advice & benefit support to residents living in the Bexley borough who are Deaf or hard of hearing. There is a small subscription to clients living out of the borough. This service is by appointment only. Please contact [email protected].

Our trained staff maintain hearing aids by retubing and providing batteries. We can also carry out minor repairs. This is open to all service users who are in receipt of a NHS hearing aid (excluding Specsavers).
