The Great Friendship Project is a non-profit organisation helping young adults aged 20–39 build meaningful friendships and tackle loneliness through welcoming activities, campaigns and research.
Whether you're new to London, your friends have moved away, you're working remotely, or you simply want to expand your social circle, we provide relaxed, pressure-free opportunities to meet like-minded people.
We organise a wide variety of activities throughout the month, including:
🎲 Board Games
🚶 Social Walks
🧩 Pub Quizzes
🎳 Activity Nights
🎨 Arts & Crafts
🎤 Karaoke & Parties
🏓 Sports & Fitness Evenings
🌳 Social Picnics
🎉 Seasonal and special events
With hundreds of activities held since 2021, there's something for everyone - whether you're outgoing or a little more reserved.
Many of our members attend their first activity on their own, so you certainly won't be the only newcomer.
Our volunteer hosts are there to welcome you, help introduce you to others, and create a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable.
Most of our activities are aimed at adults aged 20–39 and are designed to make it easy to meet new people in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
No previous experience is needed for any of our activities, and you're welcome to come on your own or with a friend.
Most of our activities can be booked through events page here.
Simply find the activity you'd like to attend, and RSVP to reserve your place, and you'll receive all the details you need.
Most people come on their own, and our volunteer hosts are always on hand to welcome new faces and help everyone feel included.
Joining the activities was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Making friends was something I found tricky but the project has made it fun and easy!
